Stadium for Bath brings together Bath Rugby, Bath Rugby Foundation and Arena 1865; a collaboration formed to redevelop Bath Rugby’s stadium on the Rec in the heart of the city.
From the outset, Stadium for Bath has had a responsibility to create something exceptional in Bath, an exceptional facility not only for elite sport but also for the community. Its long-term sustainability sits at its core, delivering a long-term positive social impact in the city of Bath.
The project will also enable the regeneration of the east bank of the River Avon (between Pulteney Bridge and North Parade) opening up a neglected area of the city to Bath’s community and visitors.
Stadium for Bath’s plans will create facilities for use by the community of Bath including sports facilities, workspaces for charities, and space for education and learning.
The riverside will be opened up with opportunities for independent cafes and restaurants, with improved public realm spaces for recreation and relaxation.
